Describe Slack bots
An automated communication system that is integrated into Slack is known as a chatbot. It may automatically respond to certain terms in a Slack chat or channel and send welcome messages to Slack users that visit the bot.
Include a bot user
- If you don’t currently have a Slack app, build one or choose one that you’ve already developed.
- In the left sidebar, select the OAuth & permissions tab.
- Choose one or more of the scopes under Bot token scopes. Next, select Add an OAuth scope.
- To examine the bot user and the added setup, click the App Home option in the left sidebar.
