  1. If you don’t currently have a Slack app, build one or choose one that you’ve already developed.
  2. In the left sidebar, select the OAuth & permissions tab.
  3. Choose one or more of the scopes under Bot token scopes. Next, select Add an OAuth scope.
  4. To examine the bot user and the added setup, click the App Home option in the left sidebar.
